About the Role
Our client is looking for a detail-oriented Telecoms Network Planner to contribute to their strategic network development in Wolverhampton . This role involves the meticulous planning and design of telecommunications networks to meet current and future demands, ensuring capacity, scalability, and efficiency. You will collaborate closely with engineering and operations teams to translate business objectives into robust network plans. This position offers a hybrid working model, allowing for flexibility between office-based planning and remote work.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop detailed plans for network expansion and capacity upgrades, considering future traffic growth and technological advancements.
- Design network architectures, including topology, equipment selection, and configuration requirements.
- Analyze network performance data and identify areas for improvement and optimization.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure designs are feasible and align with implementation capabilities.
- Produce technical documentation, including network diagrams, proposals, and justification reports.
- Stay informed about new telecoms technologies and standards to inform planning strategies.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in network planning or design within the telecommunications industry .
- Strong understanding of network technologies, including fibre optics, wireless, and IP networking.
- Proficiency in network design tools and simulation software.
- Excellent analytical skills and the ability to translate complex requirements into practical plans.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid team environment, with excellent communication skills for the Wolverhampton region.
