About the Role
Our client is seeking a meticulous and strategic Telecoms Network Planner to join their engineering department in Wolverhampton, West Midlands . In this office-based role, you will play a critical part in the strategic development and expansion of the company's telecommunications network. Your responsibilities will include forecasting network capacity needs, planning new infrastructure deployments, and optimizing existing network layouts to meet current and future demand. This position requires a strong analytical mindset and a deep understanding of network architecture and technology roadmaps.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze network traffic data and forecast future capacity requirements.
- Develop long-term network expansion and upgrade plans.
- Design network architecture blueprints for new service rollouts and geographical expansion.
- Collaborate with network engineers and operations teams to ensure feasibility and efficiency of plans.
- Evaluate new technologies and their potential impact on network design and capacity.
- Prepare technical documentation and reports for management and stakeholders.
Requirements
- Experience in network planning or network design within the telecommunications sector.
- Strong understanding of network topologies, protocols, and performance metrics.
- Proficiency with network planning tools and simulation software.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to translate complex technical requirements into actionable plans.
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
