About the Role

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Telecoms Network Planner to contribute to the strategic development and expansion of their network infrastructure in Norwich, Norfolk . This role is crucial for designing future-proof network layouts, forecasting capacity needs, and ensuring the efficient deployment of new services. You will work closely with engineering and operations teams to translate business requirements into actionable network plans. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a thorough understanding of network technologies, and experience in planning complex telecommunications systems within the telecoms industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop detailed network plans for new builds, upgrades, and service expansions.
• Analyze network traffic data and forecast future capacity requirements.
• Design optimal network topologies and allocate resources effectively.
• Collaborate with civil engineering teams on site acquisition and civil works planning.
• Create and maintain comprehensive network documentation, including drawings and databases.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Network Planner or in a similar planning role within the telecoms sector.
• Strong understanding of network technologies, including fibre optics, wireless, and IP networking.
