You will be responsible for analysing network capacity, forecasting future needs, and creating detailed plans for network upgrades and deployments. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and a deep understanding of network technologies to ensure efficient and scalable network growth across the region. Contribute to the future of connectivity in the South West from our Plymouth base.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyse current network performance and capacity to identify areas for improvement and expansion.
• Develop long-term network plans, including fibre rollout strategies and capacity upgrades.
• Create detailed designs and specifications for new network segments and technologies.
• Collaborate with engineering and deployment teams to ensure plans are technically feasible and cost-effective.
• Utilise network planning tools and software to model and simulate network growth scenarios.
• Prepare reports and present network plans to management and stakeholders.

Requirements

• Proven experience in telecoms network planning or a similar engineering role.
• Strong understanding of network architecture, capacity planning, and forecasting techniques.
• Knowledge of fibre optic networks, wireless technologies, and associated equipment.
• Proficiency with network design and planning software.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to interpret technical data and translate it into actionable plans.
