About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated Telecoms Network Security Specialist to join their established team in Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire . Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain robust security measures for telecommunications networks, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and VPNs.
• Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments to identify and mitigate potential risks.
• Monitor network traffic for suspicious activity and respond promptly to security incidents.
• Develop and enforce security policies, procedures, and best practices across the organization.
• Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to integrate security into network design and deployment lifecycles.
• Stay updated on the latest cybersecurity threats , trends, and technologies relevant to the telecoms sector .

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in network security , with a focus on telecommunications environments.
• Strong knowledge of network protocols, security frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001), and security tools .
• Experience with security information and event management (SIEM) systems and intrusion detection systems.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, or Security+ are highly desirable.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to articulate complex security concepts clearly.
