About the Role

Our client is looking for a diligent and hands-on Telecoms Network Technician to join their team in Nottingham . This role is essential for the installation, maintenance, and repair of telecommunications equipment and infrastructure. You will work on-site, ensuring the reliable operation of network services for our clients' customers. This position requires practical skills, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to delivering high-quality technical work.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and test telecommunications equipment, including routers, modems, and switches.
• Perform routine maintenance and inspections on network infrastructure.
• Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to broadband, voice, and data services.
• Assist with the deployment of new network technologies and services.
• Respond to service requests and ensure timely resolution of customer issues.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed and equipment status.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Network Technician or in a similar role within the telecoms industry .
• Good understanding of basic networking principles, including TCP/IP.
• Familiarity with installation and troubleshooting of telecommunications hardware.
• Ability to use diagnostic tools and equipment effectively.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Must hold a valid UK driving license and be able to travel within the Nottingham area.
