Telecoms Network Technician

About the Role

In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of telecommunications network infrastructure. You will work on-site, ensuring the reliable performance of equipment and systems that keep our clients connected. Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain telecommunications equipment, including fibre optic cables, routers, and switches.
• Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on network infrastructure to ensure optimal performance.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot network faults and issues, implementing effective repair solutions.
• Respond to service calls and resolve technical problems efficiently and professionally.
• Assist senior technicians and engineers with network upgrades and new installations.
• Adhere to all safety regulations and company procedures during site operations.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a similar role or a relevant qualification in telecommunications or engineering.
• Basic understanding of network principles , including TCP/IP, LAN/WAN concepts.
• Familiarity with installing and maintaining fibre optic and copper cabling.
• Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Must hold a valid UK driving license and be comfortable travelling to various work sites.
