Telecoms Project Manager

About the Role

Our client is seeking a results-oriented Telecoms Project Manager to oversee diverse projects within their growing operations in Newcastle upon Tyne . You will be responsible for the end-to-end management of telecommunications projects, from initiation and planning through to execution, monitoring, and closure. This role requires a proactive approach to managing project scope, timelines, budgets, and resources, ensuring successful delivery of complex technical initiatives. You will liaise with stakeholders at all levels, fostering strong communication and collaboration to achieve project objectives and drive business value within the telecommunications sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of multiple telecom projects concurrently, adhering to strict timelines and budgets.
• Develop detailed project plans, including scope definition, resource allocation, risk assessment, and stakeholder management strategies.
• Manage project teams, providing clear direction, motivation, and support to ensure optimal performance and collaboration.
• Effectively communicate project status, risks, and issues to senior management and key stakeholders through regular reports and meetings.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies throughout project lifecycles.
• Proactively identify and mitigate project risks and issues, developing contingency plans as needed to keep projects on track.

Requirements

• Demonstrable experience in managing complex telecommunications projects from inception to completion.
• Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) and tools.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders.
• Experience in budget management and resource allocation for large-scale projects.
• Relevant project management certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) is highly desirable.
