About the Role
Our client is seeking a visionary Telecoms Solutions Architect to design and deliver innovative solutions for their expanding network infrastructure in the Manchester area and beyond. This role requires a deep understanding of telecommunications technologies, cloud integration, and enterprise architecture principles to craft robust, scalable, and cost-effective solutions. You will collaborate closely with sales, engineering, and product management teams to translate complex business requirements into actionable technical blueprints, ensuring our offerings remain at the forefront of the telecoms landscape. This is a strategic opportunity for a seasoned architect to influence the company's technological direction and drive the implementation of next-generation communication services.
Key Responsibilities
- Design end-to-end telecommunications solutions, incorporating network, compute, storage, and cloud technologies.
- Develop technical proposals and architecture diagrams to support sales opportunities and client engagements.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and industry trends to identify opportunities for service enhancement and innovation.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure the feasibility and successful implementation of designed solutions.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to pre-sales, post-sales, and customer support teams.
- Lead Proofs of Concept (POCs) and pilot projects to validate new solutions and technologies within the telecoms domain.
Requirements
- Extensive experience (7+ years) in telecommunications network design and architecture.
- Strong knowledge of IP networking, SDN/NFV, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), and virtualization technologies.
- Proven ability to translate business needs into detailed technical architectures.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience with API integration, service orchestration, and IT service management (ITSM) frameworks.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant technical field, or equivalent work experience.
