Telecoms Solutions Architect

About the Role

Our client is seeking a visionary Telecoms Solutions Architect to lead the design of innovative network solutions from their Manchester base. This senior role requires a deep understanding of current and emerging telecommunications technologies and the ability to translate complex business requirements into scalable, resilient, and cost-effective technical designs. You will play a critical role in shaping the future of our client's network infrastructure, engaging with stakeholders at all levels to ensure technical strategies align with business objectives. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and architecture of end-to-end telecom solutions , encompassing mobile, fixed-line, and cloud-based services.
• Evaluate new technologies and vendor solutions, providing recommendations for integration into the existing network.
• Develop high-level and low-level design documents, including network diagrams, capacity plans, and security considerations.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, and product management teams to ensure successful solution implementation and deployment.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to project teams throughout the lifecycle of network initiatives.
• Define technical standards and best practices for network architecture and design.

Requirements

• Extensive experience (8+ years) in telecoms network architecture and design.
• In-depth knowledge of 5G, LTE, SD-WAN , cloud networking (AWS, Azure), and associated protocols.
• Proven ability to architect complex, multi-vendor telecommunications systems.
• Experience with service provider networks and enterprise solutions.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Relevant industry certifications (e.g., TOGAF, vendor-specific architect certifications) are advantageous.
