About the Role
Our client is seeking a skilled and responsive Telecoms Support Engineer to join their team based in Oxford . This role is essential for providing high-level technical support for our client's telecommunications services and infrastructure, ensuring customer satisfaction and network uptime. You will diagnose and resolve complex technical issues, liaise with customers and internal engineering teams, and contribute to the continuous improvement of support processes. This hybrid role allows for focused problem-solving and client interaction, balanced with remote administrative and knowledge-sharing activities within the esteemed Oxfordshire region.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert technical support for a range of telecoms services , including voice, data, and IP networking.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve complex customer-reported technical issues in a timely manner.
- Escalate unresolved issues to appropriate engineering teams, acting as a technical liaison.
- Document all support interactions, solutions, and resolutions accurately in the ticketing system.
- Contribute to the creation and maintenance of support documentation and knowledge base articles.
- Proactively monitor network and service performance to identify and address potential problems.
- Assist with network maintenance tasks and small-scale configuration changes.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a Telecoms Support Engineer role or similar technical support position.
- Strong knowledge of IP networking, VoIP, and associated telecommunications technologies .
- Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills with a methodical approach.
- Proficiency with diagnostic tools and remote access software.
- Strong customer service orientation and excellent communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a dynamic environment.
