Telecoms Systems Administrator

About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled and proactive Telecoms Systems Administrator to manage and maintain their vital telecommunications infrastructure in Bradford, West Yorkshire . This role is essential for ensuring the smooth operation of all communication systems, from internal telephony to external network connections. You will be responsible for the day-to-day administration, monitoring, and support of these critical systems, working closely with IT and operational teams. Key Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain PBX systems, VoIP gateways, and unified communications platforms.
• Monitor system performance, identify potential issues, and implement proactive solutions.
• Manage user accounts, extensions, and feature configurations for telecommunications services.
• Respond to and resolve technical support requests related to voice and data communication systems.
• Implement system upgrades, patches, and security updates as required.
• Assist in the planning and deployment of new telecommunications features and services.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Telecoms Systems Administrator or similar role.
• In-depth knowledge of PBX systems (e.g., Asterisk, Avaya, Cisco), VoIP protocols (SIP, H.323), and relevant hardware.
• Experience with network troubleshooting and monitoring tools.
• Familiarity with unified communications platforms and mobile integration.
• Strong understanding of telecommunications cabling and infrastructure.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
