Hours: 9.00am – 5.30pm

Salary: £18.25 per hour

Overview

We are looking for an experienced Temporary General Manager to oversee the day-to-day operation of a student accommodation property in Oxford. This is a hands-on role requiring a proactive individual who can lead the onsite team, maintain high operational standards, and deliver an excellent experience for residents and visitors. You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the property, supporting occupancy, customer service, maintenance, housekeeping, and health and safety while working closely with the wider operations team.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Manage the daily operation of the student accommodation property.
• Lead, motivate and support the onsite team.
• Deliver exceptional customer service to residents and visitors.
• Oversee maintenance and housekeeping standards across the property.
• Handle resident enquiries and resolve issues promptly and professionally.
• Ensure compliance with company procedures and health and safety requirements.
• Support occupancy and resident retention initiatives.
• Complete administrative duties, reporting and compliance documentation.
• Liaise with contractors and external suppliers where required.

Skills & Experience

• Previous experience as a General Manager, Assistant General Manager or Property Manager within student accommodation, residential, hospitality or a similar environment.
• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Excellent organisational and communication abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Customer-focused with a proactive approach to problem solving.
• Competent using Microsoft Office and property management systems.
