We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Office Assistant to join a thriving global business based in Bridgwater. Working as part of a friendly, supportive, and professional team, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional service to customers across a diverse range of sectors. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
Remove staples, paper clips and bindings ready for scanning.
Flatten pages, repair minor tears and ensure documents are neat and easy to scan.
Keep documents in the correct order and follow filing instructions accurately.
Attach small items such as receipts and notes to backing sheets.
Add barcode and separator sheets where needed for document tracking and indexing.
Identify documents that need special handling before scanning.
Scan and log barcodes onto the tracking system.
Update records to ensure documents can be tracked at all times.
Follow GDPR guidelines and maintain a clean, organised workspace.KEY SKILLS:
Strong attention to detail
Ability to follow specific client handling instructions
IT literate with knowledge of Microsoft Office packages
