Test Electrical Engineer

About the Role

Our client, a dynamic research and development company, is seeking a meticulous Test Electrical Engineer to join their innovative team in Oxford . This critical role focuses on the design, development, and implementation of test procedures and automated test equipment for complex electronic systems. You will play a key part in ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of our client's cutting-edge products before they reach market. Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain automated test systems and fixtures for electrical and electronic products.
• Develop comprehensive test plans, procedures, and test scripts to validate product functionality and performance.
• Utilize data acquisition systems and instrumentation to capture, analyze, and report test results.
• Perform root cause analysis of test failures and collaborate with design engineers to resolve issues.
• Ensure all testing activities comply with relevant industry standards and internal quality procedures.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of test processes and methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Requirements

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field.
• Proven experience (3+ years) in electrical test engineering, product validation, or test automation.
• Proficiency with test equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, and signal generators.
• Experience with LabVIEW or other graphical programming environments for test automation is highly desirable.
• Understanding of electronic components, circuit analysis, and failure modes.
• Strong documentation skills and the ability to clearly communicate technical findings in Oxford .
