Therapeutic Support Worker – Children – Fully Funded Degree
Permanent position in Social Care at the council.
Salary and location:
- £28,000 – £35,000 per annum (full‑time).
- Up to £33,750 per annum.
- Up to £31,000 per annum.
- Up to £31,000 per annum + £70 per sleep.
- Location: Dartington, Devon.
We are looking for passionate support workers with professional experience working with children and young people, including those with traumatic backgrounds, learning disabilities, mental health issues, or challenging behaviours. Experience in SEN education, youth work, young offenders, or fostering is also desirable.
Qualifications
- Experience working with children or young adults with learning disabilities, mental health challenges, or challenging behaviours (including SEN school, youth work, community young people, children's learning disabilities, semi‑independent services, care leavers, youth justice, children's homes).
- Level 3 in Residential Childcare or equivalent (or willingness to complete).
- Ability to work shifts, including weekends and overnight stays.
- Valid driving licence and access to a vehicle (essential).
