Job Description
The Tooling Engineer role centres on supporting new product introduction with tooling concepts, development and validation.
What you'll build and improve
- Support layout improvements within the production environment to enhance workflow, efficiency, and space utilisation
- Oversee calibration control to ensure compliance
- Ensure compliance with relevant health and safety standards
- Track and manage Government owned assets and tooling used within the facility
- As a Tooling Engineer, you will play a critical role in maintaining and improving tooling and fixtures to support production efficiency, quality and safety
What you'll bring

- If required, full instructions for the next steps will be provided
- An understanding of CAD and/or the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- You’ll need a completed a recognised Engineering apprenticeship and hold a relevant NVQ level 3 qualification or equivalent
- You’ll need proven experience in tooling control, preferably within the aerospace, automotive or precision engineering environments
- Hands-on approach and ability to work cross-functionally in fast paced environments
