Tooling Engineer

Job Description

The Tooling Engineer role centres on supporting new product introduction with tooling concepts, development and validation.

Support layout improvements within the production environment to enhance workflow, efficiency, and space utilisation
Oversee calibration control to ensure compliance
Ensure compliance with relevant health and safety standards
Track and manage Government owned assets and tooling used within the facility
As a Tooling Engineer, you will play a critical role in maintaining and improving tooling and fixtures to support production efficiency, quality and safety

An understanding of CAD and/or the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
You’ll need a completed a recognised Engineering apprenticeship and hold a relevant NVQ level 3 qualification or equivalent
You’ll need proven experience in tooling control, preferably within the aerospace, automotive or precision engineering environments
Hands-on approach and ability to work cross-functionally in fast paced environments
