About the Role

Our client is looking for an engaging and knowledgeable Tour Guide to lead engaging tours of historical and cultural sites in and around Wolverhampton . This part-time role is ideal for individuals passionate about local history, with excellent storytelling abilities and a friendly demeanour. You will be responsible for providing informative, entertaining, and memorable experiences for diverse groups of visitors, ensuring their safety and enjoyment. Become a local ambassador and share the unique stories and landmarks of Wolverhampton with the world.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct guided tours of designated routes and attractions, providing engaging commentary.
• Share historical facts, local anecdotes, and interesting information in an accessible and captivating manner.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of tour participants at all times.
• Answer questions from visitors and provide assistance with local information.
• Adapt tour content and delivery to suit different audience types and needs.
• Maintain a positive and professional attitude, representing the company and the city of Wolverhampton .

Requirements

• Excellent knowledge of local history, culture, and points of interest in and around Wolverhampton .
• Strong public speaking and storytelling skills.
• Ability to engage with diverse groups of people in a friendly and confident manner.
• Good organisational skills and the ability to manage groups effectively.
• Physical fitness to lead walking tours for extended periods.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.
