Town Planner/Senior Planner

Help deliver some of the UK's most significant infrastructure and renewable energy projects.

Our Consents team plays a vital role in bringing major developments forward, providing planning and consenting expertise across a diverse range of sectors including rail, highways, energy, electricity transmission, renewable energy and commercial infrastructure.

As we continue to grow, we're looking for a Planner or Senior Planner to join our collaborative and ambitious team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on complex, high-profile projects across the UK, including Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects (NSIPs), while developing your technical expertise and advancing your career within a supportive multidisciplinary environment.

Working closely with planners, environmental specialists, land professionals and project managers, you'll help clients navigate the planning process, secure the necessary consents and successfully deliver critical infrastructure that supports the country's future growth and sustainability.

What you'll be doing

• Supporting the development and delivery of planning and consenting strategies for major infrastructure projects.
• Preparing, managing and coordinating a range of consent applications, including Development Consent Orders (DCOs), Transport and Works Act Orders (TWAOs), Section 36 applications and Town and Country Planning Act applications.
• Working as part of multidisciplinary project teams to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and in line with programme requirements.
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, statutory consultees and regulatory bodies.
• Supporting stakeholder engagement and public consultation activities across infrastructure and renewable energy projects.
• Preparing planning reports, consent documentation, evidence submissions and examination materials.
• Providing planning and consenting advice across a broad range of infrastructure sectors.
• Contributing to business development activities and helping to build long-term client relationships.

What we're looking for

Experience of infrastructure planning, consenting regimes and stakeholder engagement would be advantageous, alongside the ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
