About the Role
Our client is seeking a proactive and creative Trade Marketing Executive to join their growing FMCG team in Edinburgh . This role is pivotal in developing and executing impactful in-store and channel marketing strategies that drive brand visibility and sales performance at the point of purchase. You will work closely with the sales and brand teams to create compelling promotional campaigns and merchandising solutions tailored to the needs of our retail partners. This hybrid role offers a dynamic blend of office-based collaboration and remote flexibility, ideal for a marketer keen to make a tangible impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement effective trade marketing plans and promotional activities for key FMCG brands.
- Create engaging Point of Sale (POS) materials and merchandising guidelines for retail partners.
- Analyze sales data and retail performance to identify opportunities for trade promotions and category growth.
- Collaborate with the sales team to ensure successful execution of trade strategies in-store.
- Manage budgets for trade marketing activities, ensuring maximum return on investment.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and competitor activities to inform strategy development.
Requirements
- Proven experience in Trade Marketing or a related field within the FMCG sector .
- Strong understanding of retail environments and shopper behaviour.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills.
- Creative thinking with the ability to develop compelling marketing materials.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly PowerPoint and Excel.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
