About the Role
Our client is looking for a strategic and creative Trade Marketing Manager to drive brand performance at the point of sale for their FMCG products in Cambridge . This role involves developing and executing effective in-store marketing strategies, promotional plans, and merchandising initiatives to maximize brand visibility and sales within retail environments. You will work closely with sales teams, brand managers, and retail partners to translate brand objectives into successful trade activities. This is an excellent opportunity to influence consumer purchasing decisions and shape the retail presence of established brands.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement annual trade marketing plans aligned with overall brand and sales objectives for the FMCG portfolio .
- Design and execute in-store promotions, displays, and merchandising programs to drive sales and enhance brand visibility at the point of purchase.
- Collaborate closely with the sales team to provide them with the necessary tools, support, and insights for effective retail execution.
- Analyse trade spend effectiveness, campaign performance, and ROI, making recommendations for optimization.
- Manage relationships with external agencies and suppliers involved in trade marketing activities.
- Monitor competitor trade activities and retail trends to identify opportunities and inform strategy development.
Requirements
- Proven experience in Trade Marketing or a similar role, preferably within the FMCG industry .
- Strong understanding of retail environments, merchandising principles, and shopper marketing strategies.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute successful in-store promotional campaigns.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales data and financial information.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
