Role Description
The Trainee Assembly Worker is a full‑time, on‑site role based in Southam, supporting the production and assembly of commercial kitchen ventilation components and systems. Day‑to‑day tasks include assembling metal canopies and ductwork, preparing parts, following technical drawings or work instructions, and using basic hand and power tools under supervision. The role involves checking completed assemblies for quality, assisting with packaging and preparation for dispatch, and maintaining a clean and safe workspace in line with company procedures. The Trainee Assembly Worker will work closely with experienced team members, receive on‑the‑job training, and follow health and safety guidelines at all times. This position is suited to individuals who enjoy practical work, are willing to learn, and can contribute reliably to a small, specialist manufacturing team.
Qualifications
- Ability to follow technical drawings, assembly instructions, and standard operating procedures accurately.
- Basic mechanical aptitude, including safe use of hand tools, simple measuring devices, and workshop equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and quality, with a focus on producing accurate and safe assemblies.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a production team.
- Willingness to learn, accept supervision, and develop skills through structured on‑the‑job training.
- Reliability, punctuality, and the ability to maintain a tidy, safe working environment.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods, handle materials, and perform manual tasks safely.
