Salary: £26,000+ DOE + Saturday Overtime Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8am - 5pm + Saturday overtime (8am - 12pm)

This is an excellent opportunity for a trainee or recently qualified technician looking to build on their existing automotive skills within a busy professional bodyshop. With a salary of £26,000+ DOE, an OTE of £31,000+ DOE, and additional Saturday overtime available, this role provides the opportunity to develop your practical skills across multiple areas of vehicle accident repair.

Previous experience or exposure within a busy bodyshop environment is essential. Alternatively, you must have recently fully completed an apprenticeship in Vehicle Accident Repair, with a recognised qualification such as NVQ, IMI, City & Guilds, ATA or equivalent.

Working Monday to Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm, with Saturday overtime available from 8:00am to 12:00pm, you'll work alongside experienced technicians while developing your knowledge and practical ability across different stages of the bodyshop repair process.

The Role

As a Trainee Bodyshop Technician - Panel, Paint & MET / Strip Fit, you'll work alongside experienced bodyshop technicians, developing your practical skills across different areas of vehicle accident repair.

Key responsibilities include:

• Supporting experienced technicians with Panel, Paint and MET / Strip Fit work.
• Assisting with the preparation, repair, removal, and refitting of vehicle components.
• Developing practical skills in vehicle body repair and accident damage repair techniques.
• Assisting with preparation and refinishing processes where appropriate.
• Supporting the removal and refitting of non-MET vehicle components and trim.
• Learning to use specialist bodyshop tools and equipment safely and correctly.
• Following manufacturer repair methods, workshop procedures, and health and safety requirements.
• Completing allocated tasks efficiently while maintaining high standards of workmanship and cleanliness.

About You

This opportunity would suit a Trainee Bodyshop Technician / Junior Bodyshop Technician / Vehicle Accident Repair Technician who is looking to develop a long-term career within the bodyshop industry.

You MUST meet one of the following requirements:

• Previous experience or practical exposure within a busy professional bodyshop environment.
• Recently fully completed an apprenticeship in Vehicle Accident Repair, with an NVQ / IMI / City & Guilds / ATA or equivalent qualification.

You'll also ideally have:

• Genuine interest in developing skills across Panel, Paint and MET / Strip Fit.
• Basic understanding of vehicle accident repair processes and bodyshop operations.
• Good practical ability and willingness to learn from experienced technicians.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in producing quality work.
• A reliable, professional, and hardworking approach.
• The ability to work effectively as part of a busy workshop team.
• A full UK driving licence.
