Job Title: Trainee CAD Technician
Job Type: Permanent
Location: Letchworth Garden City
Working Hours: Full time (37.5 hour working week)
Annual Salary: £25,350 - £27,300 per annum (DOE)
Our rapidly-growing client based in Letchworth Garden City are currently looking for a Trainee CAD Technician to join their team on a Permanent basis, with a view to grow & develop within their business. The successful candidate must be a hard working and driven individual, who is looking to excel within the Engineering industry.
Main duties as a Trainee CAD Technician:
* Produce accurate technical drawings and 3D CAD models in line with customer and project requirements.
* Provide CAD design support to the engineering team, assisting with the development and modification of technical drawings.
* Review and process customer enquiries, specifications, and technical requirements to support project delivery.
* Maintain and organise customer CAD files, drawings, and associated technical documentation.
* Accurately update and manage project, product, and customer information within the company's ERP system.
* Assist with the preparation of quotations, including material checks and basic cost analysis.
* Collaborate with internal departments to ensure technical information is communicated effectively and projects progress smoothly.
* Support continuous improvement initiatives by ensuring drawing accuracy and maintaining up-to-date engineering records.

* Proficient in the use of computer systems, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
* Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
* Self-motivated, proactive, and enthusiastic, with a willingness to learn and develop new skills.
* A genuine interest in engineering, manufacturing, or technical design would be advantageous.
* Ability to follow instructions, solve problems, and approach tasks with a logical and methodical mindset.
