Trainee Electronics Assembler

Location: Cambridge (CB24) Duration: Permanent Hours: 6:30am until 2:30pm (Monday to Friday), overtime available Salary: £25,000 per annum (rising to £26,000 per annum after successful probation period) Job Reference: 36317

Polytec are looking for a dynamic Trainee Electronics Assembler for our client based a few miles north of Cambridge.

Responsibilities

• Carry out conventional PCB and electro-mechanical assembly
• Operate automated test equipment and systems
• Follow manufacturing instructions and procedures
• Support the Production Manager and raise any issues promptly
• Handle materials and assist with picking and packing
• Carry out occasional heavy lifting as required

Requirements

• Good practical skills and confident using hand tools
• Hand soldering experience desirable (full training provided if required)
• Able to follow assembly drawings and procedures (full training provided if required)
• Good communication skills and a strong team player
• Able to work independently and meet deadlines
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Basic PC skills (full training provided if required)
• Reliable, flexible and committed to following company policies and procedures
