About the Role

Our client is looking for a technically inclined and problem-solving individual to join as a Trainee IT Support Technician . This apprenticeship is designed to provide comprehensive training in maintaining and supporting IT infrastructure. You will learn to diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues, ensuring smooth operations for our users. This hybrid role offers the benefit of working both remotely and from our Reading office, allowing for hands-on experience and collaborative problem-solving. Key Responsibilities

• Provide first-line technical support to users via phone, email, and in-person.
• Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, systems, and networks.
• Diagnose and resolve technical hardware and software issues.
• Set up new user accounts and work stations.
• Maintain IT inventory and asset records.
• Assist in implementing IT security procedures and protocols.

Requirements

• A strong interest in IT and technology.
• Basic understanding of computer hardware, operating systems (Windows/macOS), and networking concepts.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
