Trainee Quarry Worker

LNS Recruitment is looking for a motivated and hardworking Trainee Quarry Worker to join a growing team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start a career in the quarrying, aggregates and recycling industry. No previous quarrying experience is required, as full training and support will be provided.

You will gain valuable hands-on experience working alongside experienced operators, learning how to operate plant and machinery, assist with maintenance and understand the production of quality recycled and primary aggregate products.

The Role

As a Trainee Quarry Worker, your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting with the maintenance of washplant equipment and mobile plant.

• Learning to safely operate quarrying and mobile plant machinery.

• Assisting with the day-to-day operation of the quarry and processing plant.

• Learning about the production of recycled and primary aggregate products.

• Carrying out general site duties and keeping the working environment clean and organised.

• Working alongside experienced members of the team to develop practical plant operation and engineering skills.

• Following all company health and safety procedures.

• Is comfortable working outdoors in a physically demanding environment.

• Has a genuine interest in quarrying, engineering, plant or machinery.

• Can work well as part of a team.

• Has a willingness to develop new skills and progress within the business.

Previous quarrying experience is not essential — full training will be provided.
