Trainee Traffic Management Operative (AM/002/TTM)
Morrow Contracts was founded nearly 40 years ago and is one of the most respected utilities and civil engineering companies in Northern Ireland. We are an integral member of the utilities industry, a joint-venture company undertaking electricity, sewer, telecoms, roads, water works, civil engineering, and fibre cable installations etc. throughout Northern Ireland and the UK.
We are expanding our Traffic Management Division and are seeking an enthusiastic and hard working individual to join our team.
There is progression for the right person
About the role
The role is as follows:
Setup up multiple traffic management sites daily at various locations throughout a designated geographical area
Yard duties to include helping maintain a tidy and risk free site to uphold our Health & Safety standards
Making information signs for the traffic management sites
Follow Instructions from the senior Traffic Management Operative
Reporting to the Traffic Management Manager
Full training will be given to the successful applicant
This is a great opportunity for someone who isn't afraid of manual work and is willing to learn
Requirements
Must have at least 1 years full clean driving licence
CSR Card
Good verbal and written communication skills
Professional manner (you will have interaction with members of the public on occasions)
Desirable
Use of SRL Traffic Lights
Hours of work
45 hours per week, plus overtime during evenings and weekends
You will be part of an On call rota
There is a 6 months probationary period (depending on work ethic and overall performance there will be a discretionary pay increase)
