We are currently recruiting for a Trainee Welder to join a busy manufacturing and fabrication environment in Rugby.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career in welding and fabrication. You will gain valuable hands-on experience while developing the core practical skills and technical knowledge required to progress within the industry.
Key Responsibilities
* Learn and apply practical welding and fabrication techniques, including MIG welding
* Develop practical skills through hands-on training and experience
* Read and interpret engineering drawings
* Translate engineering drawings into accurate fabricated components
* Follow instructions and maintain high standards of workmanship
* Work safely and follow all relevant health and safety procedures
* Maintain high standards of quality throughout all work carried out
* Work effectively as part of a team while also being able to work independently
* Be willing to undertake paid overtime when required
About You
The successful candidate will be:
* Reliable, enthusiastic and hardworking
* Driven and self-motivated, with a genuine desire to learn
* Passionate about developing a career in welding and fabrication
* Positive and willing to learn new skills
* Able to work effectively under pressure
* Flexible and willing to work paid overtime when required
* Possess a good command of the English language
* Confident with basic mathematics
* Committed to maintaining high standards of work and safety
