Transport Administrator - Bathgate

People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Transport Administrator to join our well-established client based in Bathgate .

This is an ongoing temporary opportunity for someone with a strong transport background who is confident communicating with drivers and understands the day-to-day language and demands of a busy transport operation.

This position is ideal for applicants looking for a role as a Transport Administrator , Logistics Administrator or Fleet Administrator .

Rates of Pay:

• £13.50 per hour

Shift Pattern:

• Monday to Friday
• Operating hours: 6.00am - 6.00pm
• Ideal hours: 8.00am - 4.00pm
• Flexible start and finish times available depending on the needs of the operation

Day-to-Day Duties:

As a Transport Administrator , you will work:

• Communicating with drivers throughout the day and providing support where required
• Conducting driver debrief phone calls
• Taking and making WTR-related calls
• Handling customer calls and queries professionally
• Communicating driver instructions and updates clearly
• Supporting the transport team with day-to-day administration
• Monitoring driver activity and dealing with any issues that arise
• Updating systems and records accurately
• Liaising xwwtmva with drivers, customers and internal teams
• Supporting the wider transport operation as required

Essential Skills:

To be successful as a Transport Administrator , you will need:

• Previous experience working within a transport or logistics environment is essential
• Good understanding of transport terminology and driver "lingo"
• Confident communicating with HGV drivers over the phone
• Excellent communication and telephone skills
• Strong organ
