Job Description
Based near Hedge End, we are seeking an experienced Transport Assistant to support day-to-day transport delivery while maintaining strong customer relationships.
This is a hands-on role combining operational coordination with customer ownership, working closely with planners, pallet network hubs, hauliers and yard teams to ensure safe, compliant and efficient transport execution.

Support daily transport operations and collaborate with planners and customers.
Track loads and proactively manage delays or service risks
Act as a key customer contact, providing updates and resolving queries
Support KPI reporting and operational performance tracking
Maintain accurate transport records and provide regular reporting on service levels, network performance and vehicle utilisation.
Conduct yard checks to ensure asset availability and safety standards
What we're looking for:
Ideally some experience in transport, logistics or traffic operations is desirable but not essential.
Understanding of the Pallet Network would be beneficial for this role.
Awareness of transport compliance and defect reporting
Strong administration and IT skills
Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
