We are seeking a motivated individual to manage fleet performance, compliance, and national logistics. With a strong presence across the UK, including our Head Office in West Yorkshire, operations in Lancashire, and sites in Tamworth and Essex. Key Responsibilities: Planning & Resource Coordination Plan and coordinate drivers on regular work and ad-hoc loads. Manage and coordinate our own dedicated fleet alongside our national subcontractor network. Work closely with our other operating sites to maximise and utilise all available resources. Actively monitor fleet availability and resource utilisation. Fleet, Maintenance & Compliance Oversee vehicle maintenance coordination to ensure the highest standards. Conduct national fleet checks to ensure all vehicles remain fully compliant and roadworthy. Develop a strong understanding of transport compliance and driver legislation. Handle the downloading and uploading of truck data, alongside day-to-day AdBlue management. Monitoring and reporting back on drivers' performance. Driver & Relationship Management Oversee driver management and communication, working closely with drivers to resolve operational issues. Partner closely with our internal recruitment team to ensure all driver requirements are met. Build and maintain excellent client and supplier relationships, both internally and externally. Administration & Operational Support Monitor and maintain accurate transport documentation and operational records. Take ownership of strong administrative duties to keep the transport department organized. Take on shared responsibility for the out-of-hours on-call phone once established within the team and a good working knowledge of our operations is gained. Once established within the team and fully trained, there may be a requirement for logistics general support on our on-call rota What we are looking for: Experience & Qualifications Previous transport experience is preferred. A Transport Manager CPC in road haulage is not essential at this point. Good knowledge of driver legislation and transport compliance would be highly advantageous. Experience with fleet management is advantageous. Key Skills & Attributes Strong administrative capabilities and excellent organizational skills. Temp Station operates across multiple locations throughout the UK, including: Manchester | Barking | Tamworth | Normanton While this is primarily an office and site-based role, we will require a willingness to travel throughout the UK and work from our different operating locations when required. This will provide the successful candidate with valuable exposure to different transport operations, fleets, drivers and customers across the business.
