Overview
We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Transport Coordinator to oversee and optimise our logistics operations. This role involves managing transport schedules, coordinating with third- party logistics providers (3PL), and ensuring the smooth flow of goods within our operation. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, proficiency in transportation management systems, and a keen eye for analysis to improve efficiency. Duties
- Coordinate daily transportation activities, including scheduling deliveries and pickups using transportation management systems.
- Liaise with 3PL providers, suppliers, and internal departments to ensure timely shipping and receiving of goods.
- Analyse logistics data to identify areas for process improvement and cost reduction.
- Manage shipping documentation, customs paperwork, and compliance requirements.
- Communicate effectively with drivers, warehouse staff, and clients via phone etiquette to resolve issues promptly.
- Maintain detailed records of all transportation activities, including delays, damages, or discrepancies.
Experience
- Familiarity with vehicle route planning and optimisation.
- Strong analysis skills to interpret data and recommend improvements.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with professional phone etiquette.
- Proficiency in data entry, typing accuracy, and maintaining detailed records.
- Previous experience in logistics or supply chain roles is preferred but not essential; training will be provided where necessary.
