People Solutions are currently recruiting for an Transport Shift Supervisor to join our well-established client based at Alfreton, Derbyshire.

Pay Rates:
- £15.05 (up to 42 hours)
- £22.58 (Overtime)
Shifts:
- Sunday to Thursday
- 22:00 - 06:00

As aTransport Late Shift Supervisor your duties will be:
- Take overall responsibility for the day-to-day management and performance of the Day and Mid Shift Driver Teams.
- Plan, organise and flex driver and vehicle resources to meet daily operational requirements and agreed service levels.
- Ensure all transport activity is delivered safely, efficiently and in accordance with agreed Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Ensure the operation consistently achieves agreed OTIF (On Time In Full) targets and other service performance measures.
- Monitor daily and weekly transport performance, identify trends and take timely corrective action where required.
- Ensure all drivers understand and consistently follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Work closely with warehouse teams to ensure loads are accurately prepared, completed and loaded on time.
- Maximise successful returns and ensure returned products are managed efficiently and accurately.
- Liaise closely with Customer Service to resolve operational issues and improve overall customer satisfaction.
- Ensure appropriate levels of driver and vehicle resource are available to meet changing business requirements.
- Effectively manage agency drivers and third-party carriers in line with company standards and operational requirements.
Essential Skills:
- Ability to manage the clerks and drivers by active engagement, regular communication
- and regular performance reviews.
- Capability to plan, manage and flex driver and vehicle levels to meet operational
- requirements.
- Manage all disciplinary and grievance issues in line with HR policy.
- Legal compliance i.e. understanding of legislative regulations and / or standards.
- 2 to 3 year's experience in transport.
- International CPC holder (preferable)
- Secondary School standard of general education
- Fluent in English
