About the Role

Our client is seeking a motivated and experienced Transport Operations Supervisor to oversee their busy depot in Portsmouth . This is a crucial on-site role, responsible for the day-to-day management of the transport team, ensuring the efficient and safe delivery of goods. You will play a key part in maintaining high operational standards, managing schedules, and resolving issues as they arise. Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage a team of drivers and warehouse staff, ensuring performance targets are met.
• Oversee daily transport operations, including vehicle scheduling, loading, and dispatch.
• Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, company policies, and driving laws.
• Conduct regular team briefings, performance reviews, and training sessions.
• Manage stock rotation and ensure accurate inventory management within the depot.
• Address and resolve any operational issues, customer complaints, or delivery discrepancies promptly.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a supervisory or management role within the transport or logistics industry.
• Strong understanding of fleet operations, WTD, and UK road transport regulations.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage a team effectively and motivate staff.
