Transport Planner - South West Region

About the Role

Our client is looking for a proactive and analytical Transport Planner to join their team, remotely managing transport operations across the South West England region. This role involves creating efficient delivery routes, coordinating with drivers, and ensuring the timely and cost-effective movement of goods. Key Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule optimal delivery routes for the company's fleet across the South West of England.
• Utilise transport management systems (TMS) to track deliveries, manage driver schedules, and monitor performance.
• Communicate effectively with drivers to provide route information, updates, and address any on-road issues.
• Analyse route performance data to identify efficiencies and opportunities for cost reduction.
• Liaise with warehouse teams and customer service to ensure seamless order fulfilment and delivery accuracy.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of traffic conditions and regional logistics challenges.

Requirements

• Proven experience in transport planning, logistics, or a related field.
• Proficiency in using route optimisation software and transport management systems.
• Good knowledge of the South West England region and its road network.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
