About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule daily transport routes, considering delivery windows, vehicle capacity, and driver availability.
• Optimise routes using transport planning software to minimise mileage and fuel consumption.
• Communicate effectively with drivers, providing clear instructions and support.
• Track vehicle progress and proactively address any delays or issues that arise.
• Liaise with warehouse operations to ensure timely loading and unloading of goods.
• Maintain accurate transport records and generate performance reports.

Requirements

• Previous experience in transport planning, logistics coordination, or a similar role.
• Proficiency with transport planning software (e.g., Mandata, Paragon) and mapping tools.
• Strong understanding of UK road networks and traffic patterns.
• Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
• A proactive approach to identifying and resolving transport-related challenges.
