About the Role

Our client is looking for a proficient Transportation Civil Engineer to join their established team based in Norwich . This role is essential for developing and delivering effective transportation infrastructure solutions, including road design, traffic management, and public transport schemes. You will work on diverse projects, from local road improvements to larger strategic developments, ensuring they are safe, efficient, and sustainable. The position requires regular site presence to oversee implementation and engage with stakeholders, offering a hands-on contribution to the region's transport network development.

Key Responsibilities

• Design road alignments, junction improvements, and traffic calming measures.
• Undertake traffic modeling and analysis to assess the impact of developments.
• Prepare technical drawings, specifications, and reports for transportation projects.
• Ensure designs comply with national and local transport policies and standards.
• Coordinate with local authorities, utility companies, and construction teams.
• Contribute to feasibility studies and option appraisals for new transport infrastructure.

Requirements

• Degree in Civil Engineering or a transportation-related discipline.
• 3-6 years of experience in transportation engineering design.
• Proficiency in traffic modeling software (e.g., VISSIM, SATURN) and CAD.
• Good knowledge of highway design principles, DMRB standards, and traffic management practices.
• Strong analytical and report-writing skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
