Key Responsibilities
- Conduct traffic studies, network analysis, and modeling to identify transport issues and propose solutions.
- Design road infrastructure, including junction improvements, pedestrian facilities, and cycle routes.
- Develop transport assessments and travel plans for planning applications and development projects.
- Prepare technical reports, drawings, and specifications for transportation schemes.
- Collaborate with local authorities, planning consultants, and construction teams to implement transport solutions effectively.
Requirements
- Degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in transportation planning and/or highway design.
- Proficiency in traffic modeling software (e.g., VISSIM, SATURN, TRICS) and design software (e.g., AutoCAD).
- Knowledge of relevant UK transport legislation and design standards.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to manage multiple project streams in Belfast .
