Key Responsibilities
- Develop transportation models and conduct traffic impact assessments for development proposals.
- Design road schemes, junctions, and traffic management systems to improve flow and safety.
- Plan and design public transport infrastructure, cycle routes, and pedestrian facilities.
- Prepare technical reports, design drawings, and specifications related to transportation projects.
- Liaise with local authorities, developers, and stakeholders to achieve optimal transportation outcomes.
- Ensure designs comply with relevant national and local transport policies and standards.
Requirements
- Degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in transportation planning and design.
- Proficiency in traffic modelling software (e.g., VISSIM, Paramics) and design software (e.g., AutoCAD).
- Strong understanding of traffic engineering principles, highway design standards, and relevant legislation.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
