About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled and dedicated Trusts and Foundations Officer to join their fundraising team in Cambridge . This crucial role focuses on securing significant funding from charitable trusts and foundations to support the organisation's vital work. You will be responsible for researching prospective funders, developing compelling proposals, and managing relationships with grant-making bodies, playing an instrumental part in ensuring the financial sustainability and growth of our client's mission.

Key Responsibilities

• Research and identify trusts and foundations that align with the organisation's mission and strategic objectives.
• Develop high-quality, persuasive grant proposals, applications, and reports tailored to specific funder requirements.
• Cultivate and maintain strong, positive relationships with key contacts at grant-making organisations.
• Work closely with programme staff to gather information, data, and impact stories to support applications.
• Manage the grants pipeline, ensuring all applications and reporting deadlines are met accurately and on time.

Requirements

• Proven experience in fundraising, particularly in securing grants from trusts and foundations.
• Exceptional writing, editing, and communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives.
• Strong research skills and the ability to analyse funder priorities and guidelines.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail, with a methodical approach to managing deadlines.
• Proficiency in CRM systems and standard office software.
