UI/UX Designer

About the Role

Our client is searching for a creative and user-centric UI/UX Designer to enhance the digital experience for their users, operating from Newcastle upon Tyne . You will be responsible for designing intuitive and engaging user interfaces and seamless user experiences across their web and mobile platforms. Working closely with product managers and developers, you will translate user needs and business requirements into functional, aesthetically pleasing, and user-friendly designs. This role is perfect for a designer who is passionate about understanding user behaviour, advocating for the user, and driving product innovation through thoughtful design in a forward-thinking company.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct user research, including interviews, surveys, and usability testing, to gather insights into user needs and behaviours.
• Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups to visualize user flows and interface designs.
• Develop and maintain design systems, style guides, and component libraries to ensure consistency across products.
• Collaborate with product managers to define user stories, product features, and user journeys.
• Work closely with front-end developers to ensure accurate implementation of designs and provide ongoing design support.
• Iterate on designs based on user feedback, A/B testing results, and analytics data.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a UI/UX Designer or similar role, with a strong portfolio demonstrating user-centered design solutions.
• Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or InVision.
• Deep understanding of user-centered design principles, interaction design, and information architecture.
• Experience conducting user research and usability testing.
• Familiarity with agile development methodologies and cross-functional team collaboration.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate design decisions and rationale effectively.
