Key Responsibilities

• Assess and underwrite new and renewal insurance applications, ensuring adherence to company guidelines and risk appetite.
• Analyze financial statements, risk factors, and historical data to determine appropriate premiums and policy terms.
• Communicate effectively with brokers, agents, and internal teams to gather necessary information and clarify underwriting decisions.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with key intermediaries, providing expert advice and support.
• Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities and potential risks.

Requirements

• Proven experience in insurance underwriting, preferably in commercial lines.
• Strong analytical and decision-making skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Excellent understanding of risk assessment, pricing methodologies, and insurance products.
• Proficiency in underwriting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Relevant qualifications such as ACII or equivalent are a plus.
