About the Role

Our client, a prestigious university in Cambridge , is seeking an energetic and innovative University Sports Development Officer to enhance their student and staff sports programs. You will be responsible for promoting participation in a wide range of sports, organizing events, and fostering a vibrant campus sports culture. This role requires excellent planning and communication skills to engage diverse groups and increase engagement with sports and physical activity across the university.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic initiatives to increase sports participation across all university levels.
• Organize and manage inter-departmental and inter-university sports competitions and events.
• Promote sports clubs and activities to students and staff through various communication channels.
• Collaborate with student sports clubs to support their development and operational needs.
• Manage budgets for sports development initiatives and report on program effectiveness.

Requirements

• Relevant degree in Sports Management, Physical Education, or a related field.
• Experience in sports development, event management, or working within an educational setting.
• Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with experience in engaging diverse audiences.
