Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Used Car Sales Manager role based at Perrys Motor Sales Ltd in Aylesbury. The Used Car Sales Manager will oversee the pre-owned vehicle sales operation, including stock presentation, pricing, and promotional activities to maximize profitability and volume. Responsibilities include leading and coaching the sales team, setting and monitoring performance targets, and ensuring consistent delivery of high-quality customer service. The role involves managing the full sales process from enquiry to handover, including part-exchange valuation, finance options, and compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. The Used Car Sales Manager will collaborate with other departments to optimize stock levels, maintain accurate reporting, and uphold Perrys’ standards for customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Strong experience in pre-owned vehicle sales, with a proven track record in Used Car Sales Management or a similar automotive leadership role.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and improve sales processes, including lead management, follow-up, negotiation, and closing.
- Excellent customer service and customer satisfaction skills, with the ability to build long-term relationships and handle complex queries or concerns.
- Solid background in sales, including target setting, performance monitoring, and coaching sales teams to achieve and exceed objectives.
- Good commercial awareness, numerical skills, and understanding of vehicle finance and part-exchange valuations.
- Effective communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and develop team members.
- Comfort using dealership management systems and basic IT tools for reporting and customer records.
- Previous experience in a franchised dealership environment and a valid driving licence would be advantageous.
