Van Driver - Fleet Operations

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dependable Van Driver to join their fleet operations based in Southampton . This role involves the transportation of goods and materials to various customer sites and internal depots. You will be an integral part of the logistics chain, ensuring that deliveries are made efficiently and safely. A strong understanding of vehicle maintenance and adherence to all traffic regulations are essential for success in this position.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate light commercial vehicles (vans) for scheduled delivery routes.
• Ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods to customers.
• Load and unload vehicles, securing items appropriately.
• Perform routine checks on the vehicle, reporting any issues immediately.
• Maintain accurate delivery records and documentation.
• Represent the company professionally to clients and the public.

Requirements

• Full UK driving licence (Category B).
• Clean driving licence and a proven safe driving history.
• Experience driving vans for commercial purposes is preferred.
• Good knowledge of the Southampton and Hampshire area.
• Ability to manage time effectively and work independently.
• Physically fit to handle loading and unloading duties.
