VEHICLE BUILD TECHNICIANAre you an experienced vehicle technician looking for something more specialist?
A growing automotive business is looking for a skilled Vehicle Build Technician to join its workshop team.
You’ll work on classic 4x4 vehicles, carrying out ground-up builds and restorations from initial strip-down through to final finish.
THE ROLEAs a Vehicle Build Technician, you’ll take ownership of individual vehicle builds and work alongside an experienced team.
Your work will include:
Stripping and cataloguing donor vehicles Chassis, suspension & drivetrain builds Bodywork assembly following paint Installing pre-made wiring looms Fitting trim, lighting & other components Assessing and preparing components Planning and managing individual builds Keeping build records up to date Maintaining a clean, organised workshopWHAT WE’RE LOOKING FORThe ideal Vehicle Build Technician will have:
Strong practical vehicle-mechanics knowledge High standards of workmanship Excellent attention to detail Ability to manage your own workload Good planning and organisational skills Experience working independently on mechanical projects Genuine interest in classic vehiclesClassic vehicle experience is advantageous but not essential.
Welding and fabrication skills would be beneficial.
A vehicle-mechanics or City & Guilds Automotive qualification is welcome but not essential.
Driving licence preferred.
