Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Vehicle Damage Assessor to join our client’s reputable accident repair centre in Cardiff. This role offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional to develop their career within a busy bodyshop environment. The Vehicle Damage Assessor will be responsible for accurately assessing vehicle damage, preparing estimates, and ensuring efficient workflow to maintain customer satisfaction and profit margins.

Competitive salary between £39,500 and £43,700 per annum, dependent on experience
20 days paid annual holiday plus 8 bank holidays

Full in-house training, including Audatex certification if required

Working hours Monday to Friday, 8:00am-5:00pmDuties of the Vehicle Damage Assessor:
Prepare precise manual and computerised vehicle damage estimates complying with insurer and customer specifications
Maintain detailed records of all assessments and follow up on unauthorised work
Liaise with the bodyshop team to communicate repair requirements once estimates are approved
Manage situation where a vehicle is deemed a total loss, following company and insurer protocols
Ensure all health and safety policies are adhered to within the working environment
Keep up to date with industry standards and attend training sessions as required
Assist in maintaining high levels of customer service throughout the repair processRequirements:
Proven experience as a Vehicle Damage Assessor or similar role
Audatex trained or certified (preferred but not essential)
Knowledge of Autoflow Bodyshop Management System and manufacturer training is advantageous
Strong understanding of vehicle structures and repair procedures
Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
UK driving licence with minimal points
