Job Description
Vehicle Delivery Driver
Rocket Staffing is currently recruiting experienced Vehicle Delivery Drivers to join a leading automotive business based in Thurleigh. This is a fantastic opportunity for reliable, professional, and motivated individuals seeking long-term employment with consistent hours and excellent overtime opportunities.
Pay & Benefits
* Standard Rate: £14.84 per hour
* Overtime Rate: £22.26 per hour (after 40 hours worked)
* Sunday Rate: £29.68 per hour
Working Hours
* Start Time: 15:00 - 23:30
* Shift Pattern: Monday - Friday
Key Responsibilities
* Safely move and manoeuvre vehicles throughout the site.
* Use handheld device (HHD) scanners to track, locate, and manage vehicle movements (full training provided).
* Carry out basic vehicle inspections and report any defects or issues to the Line Manager.
* Ensure all vehicles are parked and stored in line with customer requirements and site procedures.
* Conduct vehicle damage checks before movement and report any findings promptly.
* Maintain high standards of health and safety for yourself and colleagues.
* Drive responsibly at all times and adhere to all site speed limits and regulations.
* Support wider yard operations and undertake additional duties as required.
Candidate Requirements
* Full UK driving licence.
* Confident driving both manual and automatic vehicles.
* Minimum of 2 years' driving experience in a similar role.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Capable of working in a fast-paced environment and under pressure.
* Excellent attention to detail and commitment to safety.
Desirable Qualifications
The following are advantageous but not essential:
* First Aid certification
* Fire Marshal certification
* Previous experience within vehicle logistics, automotive, or yard operations
