Vehicle Mechanic – Bristol Airport
Salary: £45,675 – £46,631 per annum
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 7:00am – 3:30pm

We have an exciting opportunity for a qualified Vehicle Mechanic to join our team at Bristol Airport, working for a market-leading company specialising in the maintenance and repair of Ground Support Equipment (GSE).
The Role
This is a varied and rewarding workshop and airside-based position where you will play an essential role in keeping critical airport equipment operational.
Using your mechanical expertise, you will be responsible for diagnosing faults, carrying out repairs and completing preventative maintenance on a wide range of specialist airport vehicles and equipment, including:
Aircraft towing tractors and tugs
Baggage handling and elevator equipment
Ground Support Equipment (GSE)
Specialist airport vehicles and plant
A variety of unique mechanical equipment
You will need to be a confident mechanic and effective problem solver, with the ability to diagnose faults accurately and complete repairs safely and efficiently.
About You
We are looking for a mechanically skilled technician with:
Proven experience working on light vehicles, HGVs, plant or similar equipment
A City & Guilds qualification in Motor Vehicle Mechanics or an equivalent qualification (essential)
Strong mechanical fault-finding and diagnostic skills
A methodical approach to problem solving
The ability to work independently and as part of a team
A strong commitment to health, safety and quality
Experience working with Ground Support Equipment, commercial vehicles, plant or specialist machinery would be advantageous.
Essential Requirements
To work airside at Bristol Airport, you will need to:
Have the right to work in the UK
Hold a valid UK driving licence
Be able to successfully obtain an airside pass
Complete the required criminal record check and five-year employment/residential history verification
Provide evidence of all relevant qualifications and certifications
Working Hours
Monday to Friday, 7:00am – 3:30pm
40 hours per week
